1. Data Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to the website doyuzu.info and all services offered through it. It has been prepared in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and the Polish Act on Personal Data Protection of 10 May 2018 (Ustawa z dnia 10 maja 2018 r. o ochronie danych osobowych, Dz.U. 2018 poz. 1000 as amended).

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data in the following circumstances:

Contact form submissions: When you use the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This data is transmitted directly via your email client to our email address and is not stored on our web servers.

Email correspondence: When you contact us by email, we process the personal data contained in your message, including your name, email address, and any other information you choose to share.

Course participation: When you participate in a live session or access written course materials, we process the data necessary to provide that service, which may include your name, email address, and connection details for online sessions.

Automatically collected data: Our hosting provider may collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser types, referring pages, and access times. This data is used for technical administration and security purposes and is not linked to identifiable individuals by us.

Cookies: We use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Certain cookies are set only with your explicit consent.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:

Article 6(1)(b) — Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to provide the course services you have requested, including responding to enquiries about sessions and delivering course materials.

Article 6(1)(c) — Legal obligation: Processing necessary to comply with legal obligations applicable to us under Polish law and EU regulations.

Article 6(1)(f) — Legitimate interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate interests in maintaining the security of our systems and improving our services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Article 6(1)(a) — Consent: Where you have given explicit consent, such as for the setting of non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

4. Purposes of Processing

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

Responding to enquiries: When you contact us with a question, we use your contact details to respond to you. This is the primary purpose for which contact form data is used.

Delivering course services: When you participate in a session or access written materials, we use the data necessary to provide those services and communicate with you about them.

Technical operation of the website: Server log data is used to maintain the technical functioning and security of the website.

Compliance with legal obligations: We may process data as required by applicable Polish or EU law, including tax law, accounting obligations, or in response to lawful requests from public authorities.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling as defined in Article 22 of the GDPR.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law.

Email correspondence and contact form data is retained for a period of two years from the date of last contact, after which it is deleted unless there is a legal obligation to retain it longer.

Data related to course participation is retained for three years from the date of participation, in accordance with general limitation periods under Polish civil law (Kodeks cywilny).

Server log data is retained for a maximum of twelve months and is then deleted automatically.

Where we are required to retain data for longer periods under Polish accounting law (Ustawa o rachunkowości) or tax law, we will retain it for the legally required period and no longer.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Right of access (Article 15): You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we process personal data about you and, if so, to receive a copy of that data along with information about how it is processed.

Right to rectification (Article 16): You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data or completion of incomplete data.

Right to erasure (Article 17): In certain circumstances, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This right does not apply where we have a legal obligation to retain the data or where the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

Right to restriction of processing (Article 18): In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability (Article 20): Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

Right to object (Article 21): Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within one month as required by Article 12 of the GDPR. If your request is complex or numerous, we may extend this period by a further two months, in which case we will notify you.

7. Third-Party Recipients

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share your data with the following categories of recipients where necessary:

Hosting and technical service providers: Our website is hosted by a third-party provider. This provider processes server log data as a data processor acting on our behalf and subject to appropriate data processing agreements.

Email service providers: We use email services to receive and respond to your messages. These providers act as data processors under appropriate contractual arrangements.

Video conferencing providers: For online sessions, we use a video conferencing platform. Participants' connection data is processed by that provider in accordance with their own privacy policy. We will inform you of the specific platform before any session.

Legal and regulatory authorities: We may disclose personal data to public authorities or law enforcement where required to do so by applicable Polish or EU law.

Where any third-party processor is located outside the European Economic Area, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR.

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the UODO within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and will notify you directly where required by Article 34 of the GDPR.

Our website and course are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 16. If you believe that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data without appropriate parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete that data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
